How we collect, use and protect your personal information under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1.Who we are
Liquor Estate is a licensed retailer of alcohol based at 184 High Street, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent ST6 5TT. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at info@liquorestate.co.ukor call 01782 444088. We are the “data controller” for the personal data described here.
2.What we collect
We collect only what we need to take and fulfil your order:
- Contact & delivery details — name, email, phone, billing and delivery address.
- Order information — items purchased, order value, delivery slot and any notes.
- Age confirmation — that you have confirmed you are 18 or over.
- Payment confirmation — we do not store card numbers; payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe).
- Technical data — cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
3.Why we use it and our legal basis
- To fulfil your order and provide customer service — performance of a contract.
- Age verification and preventing underage sales — legal obligation.
- Fraud prevention, security and record-keeping — legitimate interests / legal obligation.
- Marketing emails, where you have opted in — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4.Who we share it with
We share data only with providers who help us run the shop: our payment processor (Stripe), delivery and courier partners, our email provider, and our till/point-of-sale system for order fulfilment. We never sell your personal data. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
5.How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes (generally six years). Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.
6.Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email info@liquorestate.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
